Honestly I think the mass exit to dreamwidth (if it actually happens) will be good. Ultimately I prefer being the customer to being the product and once I have a job again I'd be happy to ay to keep dreamwidth going (provided it's a space that allows us to keep functional communties.)

The downside is that it's not really a great place for image-based blogging so a lot of people will move that to instagram or twitter, both of which are worse platforms which I would strongly prefer not to use.
